WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF YOUR HEART BEFORE GOD?
From The Father’s Heart 17th October 2021
Psalm 34 verse 18 says, “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit”.
Isaiah 66 verse 2 says, “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word”.
The quality of your heart is what determines God’s estimation of you. But, conversely, the quality of your heart is what either attracts you to God or repels Him from you.
God said, to this man will I look, him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembled at my word. The Lord cannot ignore or look away from a man with a contrite heart. Being of a contrite heart does not mean you are perfect, but it means you have an attitude of always wanting to be right with God and with your conscience. The quality of your heart has a significant role to play in the involvement of God with you.
God will not trust a man beyond the state of his heart.
One of the qualities in the life of David that attracted God to him was his contrite heart. He was always looking to do things right and please God. As a result, every time God corrected him, he made an immediate adjustment and enjoyed unusual favour and mercy from the Lord.
Before God, the state of your heart determines what you get and how far you will go with Him.
Many believers even protect their hearts from God; never find yourself in that state.
Open up your heart to God and let Him in.
God actually sees your heart ahead of your acts. Therefore, what makes your acts to be acceptable is the heart. If your heart is right with God, He will accept the acts. But no matter how seemingly great the act may look, He will not accept it if it is from a wrong heart.
God will never trust your hands with what your heart cannot handle.
Your heart is the most significant source of protection in the place of wondrous workings in the things of God. Therefore, bring your heart to the place where you can secure the trust of God, and it shall be well with you in Jesus’ name.
Till next time, go and win with Jesus.
