PRIORITIZE THE GROWTH OF THE SPIRIT MAN!

There are three types of men you will always meet in life:

1. The Natural Man

2. The Carnal Man

3. The Spiritual Man

1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God. This is a man that is not born again, separated from God and has no relationship with Him. He makes all his decisions based on his soul and his body. So the Carnal man is a little bit different from the natural man.

1 Peter 2:2 AMPC

Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation

This man is born again, but he is not growing. He is a babe in Christ. When you get born again, you are a baby spirit (1 Peter 2:2).

If you keep growing, you will grow to become an adult, i.e., in the spirit.

A carnal man is not allowing spiritual growth and is not making progress with God after the salvation experience. Though born again, he behaves like a natural man, which often brings confusion. He is not different from a sinner, but he is born again.

When you see someone that has been a Christian for about ten years and is yet not a steward, not accountable anywhere, such a person is a carnal man.

Participation is one of the marks of growth and maturity. So don’t be a carnal man!

The Spiritual Man is the man that is maturing properly. He is responding to the instructions of God. He follows the dictates of the Spirit and not of the flesh. He is making progress with God. He makes his decisions based on the leading of the Holy Spirit. He is a man that God will work with.

God made man a spirit being who has a soul and lives in a body. These three parts of man have some unique features: All have voices. The voice of the body is called feeling, that of the soul is called reasoning, and that of the spirit is called intuition.

All three feed. The food of the body is called natural food, that of the soul is intellectual matters, and that of the spirit is the word of God.

All three parts engage different training. For the body, it is physical training; for the soul, it is mental training; and for the spirit, it is spiritual training.

Train your spirit to walk with the Holy Spirit and to hear God. Then, feed your spirit with the RIGHT DIET OF THE WORD OF GOD – this will help in the renewal of your soul, and ultimately, you will be able to put the body in its proper place.

Give attention to your spirit man through feeding and training. But don’t forget; every man is ordinary until trained!

Till next time, go and win with Jesus.
