You Are Called According To God’s Purpose
FROM THE FATHER’S HEART
Whether you know it or not, YOU ARE CALLED. Look at Romans 8 verse 28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” However, you are not called according to your training in school or knowledge. The scripture above reveals that you are called according to God’s purpose. God has made some choices on our behalf, and you have to accept those choices concerning you, don’t fight them.
For example, being a nursery school teacher who is a born-again member of a church does not mean God has called you to the children’s department in that church. You will need to find out what your purpose is in that place. You are not called according to the course you read in school; you are not called according to your sex; you are not called according to your education; you are not called according to your colour and, you are not called according to natural things; you are called according to His purpose.
God can call a white man to a global ministry that everybody in the world, white, brown, yellow, or whatever your colour must listen to and respond to. I want you to take note of some words: foreknowledge, predestined, called, justified and glorified. He foreknew you and predestined you. That means you are guaranteed not to fail if you listen to Him! Not only that, He called you, and it is at the point of calling that crisis can come into a man’s life.
Whether you obey or you disobey the divine call upon your life, a crisis is going to come. When you obey the call of God, the devil fights because you are a threat to him in the calling. You are not a threat to the devil if you are born again. There are many born again people today that the devil does not bother about because they are not taking the issue of their calling serious. The weapon that can actually damage the devil is in your calling!
In your salvation, you are taken from the captivity of the devil. But in your calling, you are equipped to go back to that same devil, defeat him and take other people from his captivity. That is why the devil fights people getting into the calling of God for their lives and functioning there. He seeks to push people out of their callings and discourage them, and that is when a Christian enters into some battles.
If you disobey the calling, too, you will go into crisis with God because from that point on, frustration, lack of fulfilment, and lack of satisfaction come in. Many people are trying to satisfy the cry of the calling with so many things – fame, party, looking for pleasure in different things. The only way out of such problems is embracing and fulfilling your calling.
Till next week, go and win with Jesus.
