VICTIMS OF CAREER BUT CARRIERS OF GREAT CALLING
FROM THE FATHER’S HEART
Dearly Beloved,
I want to speak to some of you today, that is, those that are VICTIMS OF CAREER, but CARRIERS OF GREAT CALLING. This is the tragedy of many people.
Trying to manage your career and your calling together is like managing two wives. Your career requires almost the same time that your calling requires regarding TOTAL FOCUS, FULL DEVOTION, and SELF DEVELOPMENT.
Matthew 6:24 says, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” In this context, your calling will be GOD, and your career will be MAMMON. Your career brings you money while your calling brings you to God and brings God to you. You will have to be honest about which one is the topmost in your life.
There are different levels of calling people to enter into their destiny journey; LOW LEVEL, MEDIUM LEVEL and HIGH LEVEL. Most people will live and die at the low level, and the devil is satisfied with that. Apart from coming to church, what are you going to do that will contribute to what God is doing on the earth? You must begin to find where to start to make an impact for God. If Paul lived and died a lawyer, where will the book of Romans and others books that we read today be?
The first thing God does for anyone is to get you saved because no spirit can fulfil God’s call in the state of not being born again. After that, He brings you to church. One major purpose of the church is to show you why you came. Don’t keep yourself busy or let someone else keep you busy on the earth. Find out why God sent you here. One of the purposes of the Church is to wake you up to what God has sent you here to do.
Satan does not care whether you go to heaven or hell; his mission is to ensure you don’t fulfil why you came here. Whether a politician or a businessperson, you must be on a mission for God. Living your life without any recourse to why you came will not bring any glory! My wife and I heard a woman sing; she has a great voice! She said she planned to be a hairdresser. Can you imagine what the world would have lost if she had become a hairdresser? When you see some people, you see the power of a perverted and hijacked calling. I pray for you today that you will not be a victim of your career!
You don’t have to drop one for the other, but you have to use one to serve the other. When God brought you into this ministry, he had a plan for your life. The only legitimate spectators in this kingdom are those in heaven. If you are here, you must be a partaker of the heavenly calling. There must come a day that an officer of the kingdom will say to you, “You are a partaker of the heavenly calling.” There are dimensions of life you cannot enter until you enter into the role of a partaker in the calling. You cannot function in earthly activities alone and enter into the calling. What is your mission on this earth, and why must God keep you alive?
CALLING is what God sponsors on the earth.
