As we go through this period, let the Word of God be your compass and your guide. Let His Word be your confidence. This is not a time to fear.
Hear the Word of the Lord to His people;
1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
There is a spirit behind this virus and that spirit will not come near you in any form, shape or manner. You are marked for divine exemption! I want to share with you some dos and don’ts to take heed to this season.
DON’TS OF THIS PERIOD
1. Don’t allow fear.
If you are not going to allow fear, something else must be in your heart – fear and faith are opposites of each other. The degree of your faith will affect the degree of fear you have. High faith commands low fear and low faith commands high fear. Both faith and fear come by words. Fear will align your actions with the moves of hell, so be careful, don’t allow fear. Shut down your hearing of anything that brings fear into your heart. Hear enough to know and to be equipped with facts, but don’t hear beyond that to begin to operate in fear. Also, don’t avoid information to the point where you are operating in presumption.
2. Don’t make negative statements.
a. Don’t make negative statements about yourself
2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
A breach in the spirit will break the hedge of God around you. You create a break in the hedge for the serpent to come in when you begin to make negative statements about yourself.
b. Don’t make negative statements about the Nation where you are based.
c. Don’t make negative statements about this virus. Coronavirus will be defeated.
Don’t allow the fact to take the place of the truth of God’s word at this time, let your words be in the direction of what God is doing. Don’t say what is happening but what God is going to do for you. He is watching His words to perform it.
3. Don’t be careless.
God does not want us to be careless or careful (in the negative sense), but He wants us to be care-free. Cast all your cares upon Him and be rest assured that God is at work.
4. Don’t neglect the instructions of the experts.
Take heed to the instructions of the experts on handwashing, maintaining social distance, avoiding large gatherings and staying home. Unless you have a word from God, don’t go against the word of the experts.
5. Don’t be ignorant.
Get the right information that you need at this time.
6. Don’t go after fake news.
Cross-check your information with experts and accurate sources as there will be a lot of news going around at this time. Avoid fake news, go after the good news and the word of God.
7. Don’t neglect the assembly of the fellowship, of the Bible and the kingdom.
Get messages and load them into your spirit. Get the truth and get the anointing. Join people to the fellowship of the anointing, join your family members to it.
Paul said, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Acts 20:32)
Join people to what is common to us as believers. What is common to us is divine exemption just like God did for the children of Israel in Egypt. He will not do less for us now in Christ than He did for them under Moses. He will not allow the plague to touch the blood-washed saints. You must keep that in your mouth. Declare the blood of Jesus over yourself and your household as you go about your activities.
Also, don’t neglect the assembly of faith. Choose to go with the Word of God, and the Word of God will come through for you. The persistent confession of the Word of God is what brings the zone of the shield of faith.
8. Don’t fellowship with negative talkers.
Be careful, walk away from negative talkers in this period.
9. Don’t neglect your instructions and assignments in Zion.
Keep doing the things that God has told you to do. Don’t let this break your focus in prayer, evangelism and following through with your instructions from God. You can minister to people online if you are not able to move around, you can send letters to people. I believe at this time, there will be many more people that will come to God. Let a sizable number of them come through your ministry and obedience to God.
Violating the don’ts above will give an entry to the devil. The devil is an opportunistic enemy.
Now let me show you some dos for this season.
DO’S OF THIS PERIOD
1. Put on the whole armour of God.
In times of war, the first thing people do is to stockpile resources. You must be fully geared with the whole armour of God this season.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Be strong in the fact that you have a stronger covenant than the children of Israel had in the Old Testament. He is our God. The God of Moses is our God. The God of Daniel is our God.
We will see healings, we will see supernatural dimensions in this generation. This is the time we will see the power of God manifesting like never before.
This manifestation of God’s power is greater than the wisdom of men manifesting. What we call foolish (the foolishness of God) is better than the wisdom of man.
Don’t let anyone mock you, one of the attacks of the devil is to make the things of God look foolish. Speaking in tongues is not carnal, breaking bread is not carnal, getting anointed with oil is not carnal, they are our weapons and they are mighty through God.
In Ephesians 6:13, the Bible talks about the evil day. I pray that the power of God will come upon you to withstand every onslaught of hell through this virus. The presence of the Holy Ghost in you will quicken your mortal body to operate beyond natural (Romans 8:11). I pray for a ten-thousand-fold power of the immunity in your system in the name of Jesus. The immunity in our body will be too strong for the virus to operate.
Ephesians 6:14 – Know the Truth this season. Get out of ‘wrongeousness’ into righteousness. Get into right thinking, right decisions, right associations, right things and you get all these from the Bible and the Holy Spirit. Protect your heart with the breastplate of righteousness. Be very sensitive.
Ephesians 6:15 – Be ready to share the Gospel at any time. Let God be able to trust you with His Word. When the Word of God comes somewhere, the light of God and His protection comes there.
At this time, you must pray for yourself, other saints, your pastors and leaders to get the Word of God to you because the Word of God is the weapon of mass deliverance against the virus. Pray for them to come under a strong anointing, not caring what the Social Media will say.
2. Personally get into the Word of God.
Don’t wait for corporate gatherings, personally get into the Word of God. Open the Bible, listen to tapes, do a personal study of the Word of God. This period, you will see the Holy Spirit open things up to you. Whenever God’s people face situations, He reveals Himself by different names.
3. Surround yourself with an atmosphere of the power of God.
There are two things I want you to take note of here:
a. Positive testimonies – Review positive testimonies of what God has done in the past.
b. Praise & Worship – Play music tapes, lift up worship, speak in tongues. Let an atmosphere of intercession and expectation surround you. Don’t let the enemy dampen your spirit at this time.
4. Stir up your faith in God.
When you consider the information about coronavirus alone, you will stagger in your faith. Look at the testimony of Abraham –
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God
We must pray for the scientists. Listen to what the scientists are saying will need to happen so that it forms what you will be praying about. For example, they need to discover a vaccine, pray along that line. We must know that there is a God that can intervene.
I pray that the Lord will cut things short in righteousness.
Learn to give thanks to God and bless Him for small things. Pray that God will show us His preparations, everything He has prepared for us for this season, He will begin to show us.
5. Get the weapons you need at this time.
You need both defensive and offensive weapons. We must know what picture of the Word of God we need to hold fast to at this time and also what revelation of God we must have at this time.
The picture of God’s Word is described by many names; it is a hammer, it is fire, water, honey, sharper than any two-edged sword. Which of these must we hold fast to at this time?
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
It means that whatever picture of God’s Word He gives to us in this season will become flesh to us.
When God’s people enter a new season, whether good or bad, the Lord reveals Himself. He appeared to Moses as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
There are 3 primary names of God in the Old Testament:
- Elohim – The Strong One, the Creator, the Maker.
- Jehovah – The self-existing God.
- Adonai – The expert, He always knows what to do.
It is out of these three primary names that all other compound names of God come out from and we must understand them. Whatever happens on the earth, we can go back to these names.
Whatever the enemy engineers, God has the antidote. As a person of faith, you have access to the antidote of God first in the spirit before others have access to it. We must deal with the spirit behind the coronavirus first and then pray for the scientists to get a breakthrough. The people of faith must attack it from the spiritual end and then the scientists will attack it from the physical end. If we don’t deal with it properly in the spiritual, then it will take a longer time for the scientists to get a breakthrough and more deaths will be recorded.
Part of the things we must know is that prayer works. God is at work. His angels are here.
Don’t forget that you are never alone, God is with you right there where you are. The Lord is the Preserver of men and He will preserve you in Jesus name.
Be blessed of God in Jesus name.
