Passing the Test of God
1 Samuel 16:6–7
6 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Are you failing or passing the tests of God for your life and destiny?
Eliab became unqualified for what God had prepared for him. God’s plan was for any of Jesse’s sons, and Eliab was the firstborn, but God said, “I have refused him.” He’d been presented and rejected. So when did Eliab meet God or vice versa? In the father’s, Jesse’s, instructions, in the daily demands from the various levels of leadership he’d been passing through.
Can you recognise God’s test when they come through difficult demands from leadership, the pastor’s rebuke, physical duties, simple instructions and so on?
May we recognise and pass His tests.
Do you know whom God is using to test you?
The person is already around you, the person you least expected. That is why you should behave like Christ will to everyone you meet. Jesus passed the test with Joseph and Mary at the age of twelve years. They complained and rebuked Him, but He submitted Himself to them (Luke. 2:41–52). He didn’t call down brimstone or despise them.
What will happen to you on the day of oil, Accepted or refused?
Live your life to qualify yourself on the day of oil; your future depends on it.
Till next week, go and win with Jesus.
