PARTNERING WITH WHAT GOD IS DOING IN YOUR DAY
FROM THE FATHER’S HEART
YOU MUST BE AN INTELLIGENT PARTNER WITH WHAT GOD IS DOING IN YOUR DAY.
Let us look at Luke Chapter 5 verse 2 – “And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. Verse 3 says, “And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s…”
Two ships were mentioned in that passage, but those were not the only ships there that day, but God saw them. He sighted two for divine visitation. Out of these two, there is the CHOSEN SHIP and the OTHER SHIP. However, God had a plan for the two ships. God has a plan for every individual, and you must corporate with Him. He had a plan for the two ships but can only enter one ship at a time.
The lesson here is this, whenever you see God moving and operating in another ship, what should you do? Become an intelligent partner. What does the other ship mean as far as you are concerned? The other ship can refer to anything that you can use to partner with whoever God is moving with currently. You must understand anointed partnerships on the road of destiny. Take note of verse 10a – “And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon.” It is part of God’s plan for His people to partner.
When you see the Lord in another ship, immediately become an intelligent partner. The other ship may be your skill, time and energy, your resources or whatever you have with you that you have control over. It is something you have that you can use to partner with something God is using or doing.
At the end of the event, the results of the two ships were the same. If you only saw them returning from the deep, you will not know the difference. They were both overloaded and sinking. God has plans for all His children, but you must find where He has placed help for you and be correctly joined there.
Also, in this passage, two types of results were visible, i.e. NATURAL RESULTS and DIVINE RESULTS. Verses 5 and 6- “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless, at thy word, I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”
Having toiled all the night and taken nothing was their natural outcome. But when the divine sets in, the result was a great multitude of fishes and net breaking results. The plan of God for us as His children is to have DIVINE RESULTS IN HUMAN ENDEAVOURS. However, that divine result which they had was following obedience to divine instruction. Your obedience this season is connected to the great harvest that is already waiting for you. Divine outcome is always connected to the natural within your control, not the supernatural that is out of your control. For Simon, it was to “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” Eventually, he let down the net, and that determined how much of the divine outcome he had.
Till next week, go and win with Jesus.
