Accept God’s Best Offer for Your Life
Dear friend, this subject is of utmost importance and you must pay special attention to it. I am sure you want to ask “does God have any offer for my life?” The answer is YES! God has an offer for your life; it is the greatest and the best offer you will ever get. It is far better and greater than whatever any man or system in life can offer you. This offer of God for your life is a free offer! It is not given to you because of anything you have done, but because of God’s great love for you.
Beloved, the offer of God is the gift of eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16 says that “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” You possibly want to ask this question “but do I really need this offer of God?” Yes, you need it, and more than any other thing in life. If you acquire every other thing in life and you do not have this offer of God, life will be a waste.
Matthew 16:26 says“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Your soul is very precious and important to God, He does not want you to lose your soul in the end and go to hell and that is why He made the provision of His great offer for you.
Oh, did you just say you are not in the category of those that will lose their souls? Please look at what the Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). But you say I am righteous; I do not do anything wrong! Beloved, the Bible says every man that is born of a woman has sinned. Isaiah 64:6a says “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…” What frees a man from the burden, guilt and negative consequence of sin which is eternal condemnation and punishment in hell is accepting the offer of God, which is salvation through Jesus Christ.
Romans 6: 23b says that “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” And you see, you do not have to labour for it, you receive it through faith in the finished work of Christ (Romans 10: 9-10; Ephesians 2:8)
Every debt has to be paid for by somebody and every sin you have ever committed has to be paid for also (Romans 6:23). The good news, however, is that God has made a way out for every one of us through the sacrifice of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is written concerning the Lord Jesus in 1 Peter 2:24 that “…Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins should live for righteousness” Ephesians 2:16 also tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ has ”… reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross…” You can either pay the penalty of sin yourself in hell, or you can accept the forgiveness of sins that Jesus Christ purchased for you, with his own blood, by believing in Him.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).
Believing in Jesus means that you become a follower and disciple of His by giving your life to Him. That is the first step you need to take to escape the damnation of hell. If you do not want to pay the price of sin yourself by spending your eternity in hell, then you need to repent of your sins and give your life to Jesus. Acts 3:19 says “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”
Accepting the offer of God has great eternal blessing (Rev. 21:3-7) and rewards while rejecting the offer of God also has negative eternal consequences (Rev. 21:8).
If you will accept the offer of God, then you will have no place or part in hell with Satan. Rather, all your sins will be forgiven, and your name will be written in the book of life (Rev 20: 15), God will become your Father and you will have peace with Him. He will freely give you all things as you may need in this world (Romans 8: 32) and you also have the guarantee of everlasting life and an eternity of joy with the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you want to accept the offer of God by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Saviour, then pray this prayer from your heart:
Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins and that God raised Him from the dead on the third day. Today, I accept Jesus into my heart as my Lord and personal Saviour. I forsake my sins, I turn away from sin, Satan and turn to God. Father, I ask that you cleanse me from all unrighteousness by the blood that Jesus shed for me at Calvary. I declare that I am born again, and my name is written in the book of life. I receive the power to serve and follow God all the days of my life. Thank you, Father, for saving me, for in Jesus name I have prayed. Amen
